First 30 Days

Our directors, managers, and senior residents assist in making the introduction phase as comfortable as possible. We are also taking time to get to know the individual goals, preferences, and interests as the new resident gets settled. During this time the new residents will be introduced to the various supportive tools we use which include:

• Introductions to community members 
• Identifying preferred meetings and groups
• Beginning employment search
• Engaging in various fellowship opportunities within the home
• Meeting 1 on 1 with Tidewater Staff to identify goals 
• Ensuring residents have a good understanding of available supports and programming
